| 中文描述 | 福壽草是一種有子的植物，大約3mm寬。當種子不小心混在澳洲豬的飼料裡，會造成豬的拒吃、嘔吐、死亡，且此症狀在實驗中被証實，也可在成長中和成年的豬身上發生。這毒性可能作用在心肌的配糖鍵—類似地高辛的東西。改善飲食後，約2個禮拜可復原。在屍檢時，可發現初級的心肌纏繞。 |

| 英文描述 | ADONIS MICROCARPA is a plant with seeds about 3 mm across. When seeds were included accidentally in the diet of pigs in Australia they caused feed refusal, vomiting and deaths, and the syndrome was reproduced experimentally in growing and finishing pigs. The toxic effect is probably caused by cardiac glycosides which resemble those of digoxin. Recovery occurred within 2 weeks of removal of feed. Histopathological evidence of primary cardiac involvement may be found at necropsy. |
